Last night was a LOVELY time. We went to our friend Mark's house, lots of fantastic conversation and even mmore fantastic food. Appetizer was this Caviar + Onion + Goat cheese + Sour Cream or something fabulousness by Bruce, Second Appetizer -- Tempura fried Zucchini Blossoms by Michael, salad -- heirloom tomatoes by John, Main dish -- a fabulous Boeuf Doufenoise, and Pomme de terre gratinee.... fabulous. Adam and I made a Strawberry Shortcake from scratch, with fabulous scone-like shortcake, fresh strawberries in a light sauce and homemade whipped cream. Again, the wine was flowing and fantastic, and the whole night turned out a success. It was held at Mark and Rick's house, with Michael, Mark, Bruce, John, Adam and Rob in attendance...
I relaxed today, for the most part. I woke up around 10 am and then went and hung out with Mycroft for a few hours, we had brunch at The Red Grill and had bloody mary's then went walking around the castro.
I bought two cocktail books, one on how to make fabulous Jello Shots for parties, which sounded fun. I made some of the Gin & Tonic Lime Jello shots, they're in the fridge and chilling, we'll see how they come out. I think more sophisticated Jello Shots could be fabulous... ones that aren't electric green or neon pink, and that have more of an adult taste to them ... well, that could just be fun.
I came home, made the Jello Shots, am hanging out with Adam for a bit and cleaning house getting ready for the week. Right now we're listening to the soundtrack of "The Fighting Temptations" with Beyonce, Faith, and others.
Hope you're all having a nice end-of-weekend evening... will talk to you tomorrow.
Love,
Rob
